About TO ACCEPT, DIAL 5 NOW
In this eavesdropping snippet of a jailhouse call, Silas gages the status of his relationship with his girlfriend Jackie. To Accept, Dial 5 Now is a story about violence, jealousy and control, the choices we make, and the limits of love.
The play is directed by Gladys Ramirez.

A note from Gladys: “So a couple of weeks ago O, Miami Poetry Festival says to me, it says, “Hey Gladys, you wanna produce this play by Michele Jessica Fievre for our ‘Plays on Verse’ Series at Micro Theater Miami?” And I don’t have to tell you, when an opportunity like that knocks you answer, ‘Yes!’ So I rounded up Jovon Jacobs, Chasity Hart and Laura Pons as my dynamic cast; went to extraordinary lengths to procure props with the help of my associate Elayne Bryan, and after just a few rehearsals we opened to packed houses last [week]! Thanks so much to everyone who helped me pull this off in a time crunch (you too, Tatyana-Marie Carlo) and to everyone who’s shown support and fielded my frantic messages! Hope you can make it out!

P.S. A lot SUPER talented people (Joshua JB, Freddy Valle, Monica Lynne, and Peter Mir- just to name a few) are putting up work this month at Micro as well so come out and see us all Wed-Sun nights until May 3rd!”

If you’ve never been, MicroTheater is short-play buffet: five shipping containers host five different 15 minutes plays for multiple showings each night. See as many or as few as you like; each show costs $5. Outside the shipping containers, a happy hour buzzes, with beer/wine/sangria sales at the bar.
